I see one person asked a similar question that got no answers... in 2008!
You know the mics, the little puck shaped ones that come with an AVR to "calibrate" speaker setups to rooms? I've googled it some with no answers. I've tried the couple I have on hand, a Yamaha one and one for an Onkyo, and they apparently do nothing without some sort of adaption or modification... Has anyone done any experiments with these to see if they might be useful for more than just "auto calibration" of a HT setup? Last edited by oktyabr; 18th February 2012 at 10:04 PM. |

Well, what is an AVR?
Show us a pix of your mic! If it is a small electret capsule it will need powering and a preamp to get a signal, and that will not be calibrated! E |
