Dremel Router-Shaper mount
This is a simple little project that I've built several versions of for myself. You cannot believe how usefull it turns out to be.
Basically, an old vitamin bottle supports the main body of the Dremel while tip is held stationary with built up rings. Done right the Dremel will push through far enough to get wrench on collet chuck. Height adjustment is done by slipping dremel up and down in bottle mouth then clamping in place with a hose clamp. The holes in pill bottle allow for ventilation / access to chuck lock button. Do not block airflow on Dremel.
Project works with other brands as well as Dremel.
Entire project cost less than $10 including lifetime supply of solvent cement. Most the plastic came out of supplier scrap bin at $0.60 lb. Plastic ring glued on bottom transitions the non-glueable HDPE pill bottle with the glueable polycarbonate (Lexan or equivalent).

From the lack of comments I see that it is clear that I neglected to convey just why anyone would wish to build this project. From my perspective, if you own a Dremel or equivalent, then this is a must own accessory.
Consider cutting open a lap top battery without damaging a single cell. This jig gives you precise depth and height of cut adjustment to cut right along factory glue line with a wafer or diamond coat wheel. I used an identical jig I built for a friend to cut the paralell lines in the fence on this one. I've used one to slice plastic rectangles out of an old wall wart case to reconstruct a new front bezel for an HP meter mount.
The jig gives you precision cutting ability off the edge of any table top. It allows you to do things you couldn't do otherwise. Don't know how to express that better.
