I'm a member at the Raleigh NC Techsop. Great place if you like to build stuff. I use the machine shop more than any other area, but the welding equipment and the laser cutter are great tools to have available for stuff.

What a cool idea! It's funny, I was thinking how nice it would be to find a shop that would rent for the weekend. They should have a 1 day rental fee also. Like $25 for 1 day.
I used to be a member of a woodworking machine co-op. It was awesome paying a monthly fee to have access to well cared for, large sized machinery (16" jointer, 30' planer, 10' sliding panel saw, etc). Most of the people who belonged where professional builders. like myself, so it was nice. |

Yeah, cool! My wife would pay $75 a month just to get that drillpress of the kitchen table
They seem to have solved the prime problems of insurance and education I wish there where something like this here in my town (I'm to old to start it). I can't get enough interest in our 150+ unit condo complex to find a space to set up a shop I do wish them well. E |
