hello,
i would like to measure some preamp headphone and line circuit i've made. first think i would like to test is the frequency resp. BUT, i'm a newbie ![]() i would like to use a pc based solution (arsa, holmimpuse or something like this) for speaker measurements many here use a jig board, but i've not found information about preamp measurement for example, let's say i would like to measure a cmoy headphone amp. thanks! |

You could use a spare pc soundcard and a program like RightMark and a little circuit with scaling resistors. You don't want to use an expensive soundcard because it could be damaged.

Check the excellent Visual Analyzer ( Visual Analyser 2011 XE ), designed by your countryman Alfredo Accatatis. There are many links to literature on testing and using the VA on his site. Unfortunately, all in Italian. Maybe you could translate some of that info into English. A lot of us would be greatfull. E

I was hoping that someone else could come up with instructions or a link on how to use your soundcard as a test instrument.

Here is a link to the articles I could find. Translations with your very acceptable English would be most welcome. Someone here on this forum will be glad to help with proofreading. There have been several threads on this forum on the VA as well http://casa.accattatis.org:9090/Arti...0on%20VA/?date Ciao, E |
