Can anyone recommend some tools for my first DIY project.
I was planning to build a class t amp LM3875 from audiosector.com, could anyone recommend some tools to built my 1st project. Im starting from scratch and want to keep a tight budget. Heres some suggestions Soldering iron Multimeter Solder Is there anything else i will need, Thanks for your help |

Hand tools, wire cutters, long nose pliers wire stripper.

Thanks for your reply, i just need some help choosing a soldering iron?

I am also interested in the answer on the above question.
I am also just starting and want to get a complete set of tools I need (so the little time on the weekends I have -- I will not spend searching for local overpriced tools/components) I would also appreciate the advise from this board -- not just on tools -- but on components from wires to capacitors/transformers that I could slightly stock up on -- for a first timer who will get things wrong. To the original poster, I sofar found this article -- but this board will probably have lots more suggestions/etc Getting Started in Audio DIY |

Wannabe electronics geek The Tangentsoft website linked in "worker's" post (Getting Started in Audio DIY) is excellent. His CMOY amp instructions are great! Excellent confidence booster and learning aid. Build a CMOY headphone amp for starters. Great first project. And excellent tutorial videos on his site. Good luck! |
