Weller 100W 120V Soldering Irons; models W100PG, W100PGMX, W100P3 and W100PD3; date codes July 2006 to May 2010 (date code is on heating element).
These soldering irons are being recalled by Cooper Tools Canada to comply with a notice from Health Canada : Consumer Product Safety. A burn hazard exists due to a defective power cord. Cooper Tools Canada will provide Canadian consumers who contact them with a free replacement soldering iron. No idea if a similar recall exists in the US but probably worth looking into if you own one of these irons. Consumer Product Recalls - Consumer Product Safety
