Hello,
Anyone have experience with this Interstate Electronics F77 Log-Linear Sweep Generator? Whether or not you have direct experience, would you see this as a useful standalone piece of equipment to have in the stable for testing purposes? I cannot find a manual or discussion on it so am curious to know more. 0.001Hz-20MHz, am/fm/sine/tri/sq/pulse Thanks for your consideration.

I've used these at work long ago and think they're excellent, though not too well known. The low frequency capability is unusual; I'm not sure how useful it is for audio purposes. Manuals and schematics can be near impossible to find. If it works and if you can get documentation, I'd say it's a good addition to the bench. They also made a similar and very useful pulse generator with variable rise and fall times.

Thanks much for the response. I am trying to find an adequate function generator and have been looking at this F77 as well as the HP 3312A.

It looks like a pretty rockin' function generator to me. I like the pulse function. That can come in handy.
The HP 3312A is a nice one too. I use mine frequently. I picked it up on ePay for around $100. ~Tom |
