Percussion drill DY design Need help and ideas

Here i try to build cheap Percussion driller for drilling 40m deep well.
i already bought 3000RP diesel engine (very old for $50).
i drafted here sample. my worry is it wont work i need at least 2m pull and free drop to drill.
please guys help me out with ideas thank you.

Make sure you've stepped down the gearing so that the rpm of the motor does not lift the cutting head prematurely.

You could decrease the drop and free-fall time by making the cutting tool heavier...

How do you intend to remove the loose material in the bore-hole and what happens if you hit bedrock? E
