You're in luck, my university uses those, or ones very much like it, in every lab.

What did you want to know? They're a good scope, easy to get a good trigger from, more than fast enough for anything audio, can export TIF files to floppy for later examination, can do sample averaging, noise rejection and bandwidth limiting, has some useful math functions and a Fast Fourier Transform for getting an idea about frequency content.

Only downsides I've encountered are the dashed cursors, which make precision measurements a little bit harder than they need to be, and the fact that it triggers from the un-averaged signal, so it can give some completely inaccurate but perfect looking traces from noisy signals which are actually clipping etc.

Infact I want to use it for SMPS circuit testing and researching.....

So I need to see all the ringing, shoot. etc. Does this oscilloscope will be useful for precision power electronics works ???

Another down side I think is Max. input is only 300 V p-p..........

btw I didn't understand uor last para...Will be the output inaccurate ?

The output is accurate provided it's used properly. If you've used other digital scopes, this one is no different in that regard.

If, on the other hand, you're more used to analogue scopes, the ability to use the advanced features of a digital scope to "clean up" the trace can allow for self deception - ie. it's possible to make the trace look better than it actually is.

As for SMPS work, I'm not sure - how fast are the signals you need to observe?

switching freq will be max 1 MHZ..... but the ringing may be in the range of 10-15 Mhz......
