My old friend decided to self destruct by creating an orange glowing tip before I noticed it wasn't regulating the temp.
ANy ideas or cross on the solid state components? I'm guessing that either the H8011 IC or the H8010 are the cause, But, I do not know how the temperature on the tip is sensed, and then regulated. My guess is that H8010 is a thermister and the other is the microcontroller, perhaps a matched pair? Best from Tucson Bob

Hi,
I believed you might need to change the heating element of your soldering handle. Your heating element could of gone bad. |
