O-scope to monitor audio

I have a Tek 2465, that I would like to connect to the output of my preamp. the results should be a lissajous figure, similar to what you would see on a Marantz 10b scope when it is monitoring a stereo signal.

I have tried everything, and I find if difficult that a scope like this cannot do it. So far, even following directions in the manual, all I get is two scope readings on channel 1 and 2. Any ideas?

You want to set your scope up for an X-Y display. The manual should be pretty clear on how to do that, which you can now find since you have the magic words.

Have you tried playing with the timebase?
