I just grabbed one Tektronix T935a on ebay.be for 51€. Would those chinese probes be good enough for it ?
http://cgi.befr.ebay.be/Two-Oscillos...18929991QQcmdZ I'm still waiting to receive the scope. Has anyone already used one of those ? Anything good to know about this model ? Thanks

Ok
Looks like those probes will work. Most Tektronix scopes have the ability to tell weather you have hooked up a X1 or X10 probe to them based on a small spring contact on the probe witch closes a connection when shoved on the BNC connector on the scope. Some probes are not set up for this function, escecallay the inexpensive kind. The probe still works but the scope vertical scale is off by a factor of 10 and it is verry irritating. I think that the scope you bought does not do this automatic switching function as well as the probe you are looking at. If you get both parts try hooking the probe to the calibrated output on the scope, if the vertical measurment is off by a ton it is possibe you will have to buy a different probe. Probes made for this scope from Tek will cost one each arm and leg. |
