Looks like they are selling this as a kit so seems unlikely they will be giving away the hex.

Hadnt noticed the restriction. I bet he would sell it to you if you asked him. Nice guy. But its expensive. Wish I could afford it. Way better than a DMM, not as good as a scope, but easier to use.

The PIC meter from AlmostAllDigitalElectronics (AADE) was published in June/96 Electronics Now, and hex was available from the Gernsback website (or BBS) at one time. LC PIC meter has hex code, and links to many other PIC L/C meter pages.

I found a partial mirror of the Electronics Now ftp site, and here's the schematic and assembler and hex for the L/C Meter II.

I made this kit a while ago and it works great. the only issue I had was with the PIC driving the reed relay. I added a npn-pnp switch and it works really well. I don't know if I still have the hex file in my computer.

Yes he is selling them. Its a little DIY but not full out DIY> He charges 179 for that one. The semiconductor analyzer I have here at home and it is really awesome! There are similar ones on ebay for about 10 dollars less but this thing is quality all the way.
