Tektronix TDS2022 replacement screen?

I might be able to buy a cheap Tektronix TDS2022 with a cracked screen.
Is it possible to replace the screen to get it to work again, or is it a lost cause and only a waste of money?

The scope itself seems to be pretty expensive (in working condition) at eBay and such.

Hello,

LCD display part number is 650-4349-00 and is only provided by Tektronix.
So, I'm afraid it won't be cheap.

Maybe you should look at scopes from Owon , Rogol and Gwinstek etc.

The screen is an off-the-shelf STN LCD part that you can buy new from China for <$100. Once you get the unit, you can figure out the OEM part number.

I got a sweet deal on a brand new Tektronix DPO2014B, so I ended up getting one of those instead. Got it for one third of the list price, so I'm pretty happy today
