Tool for removing connectors

Hello to all.

I guess this is the right place to request kind advice from the group re this.

What's the risk-free, safe, elegant, 100% technical way of disconnecting this type of connectors?

I use a flat bladed small screwdriver in this case from the edge of the pcboard and gently ease each end up slightly until it is free enough not to stress the connector if the final pull is required to liberate the plug from the socket using the cable.

I was so tempted to do just that, but it would be such a mess if a wire breaks.

They're only a real problem when they have been glued in place. As in the photo they should just pull out without any real pressure being required.

Hot-melt glue is easily removed with freeze spray. Hose the glue down with the spray, it gets very brittle, and shatters easily with a small screwdriver or other tool. It chips of leaving the bare connector.
