Default Inductance meter

I need a low cost( $40/$70) inductance meter mostly to built Xover. I try to avoid all in one meter since I get a good capacitance meter for last 20years.
LCR or only inductance will do. There is a lot on Ebay !
May be there is one not to bad )
PS: if one just over my target price is a bargain/for price please let me know.

This one is not a real (stand alone) inductance meter, it is just an add-on for a multimeter that you can build for less than 10$, but it does actually work and is not a toy: it has better vector discrimination than many commercial units.
It can be helpful while looking for a complete instrument.

Be wary of cheap L meters.
I got caught out when doing some SMPS design with a cheap meter.
The meter said it was 120uH when actually measuring it in a circuit oscillating it was only 10uH !!! No wonder I was getting overloads in my circuit.

ApexJr has one for $50. I have no idea about its performance.

I use my sound card to measure inductance.
There are quite a few free software's out there that can do this with a simple interface resulting in a fairly good amount of accuracy.
Here is a discussion where I had put these to a test,

Exploring Visual Analyser (VA)

and here as well,

Besides the above programs mentioned in those threads REW v5 beta 17 also does a super great job at impedance measurements as well.

LC meter kits for $99
L/C Meter II, a digital inductance meter / capacitance meter.

Or, since the plans were published in Radio-Electronics, it has inspired various copies and improvements. For example:

Or just buy one ready to go from China on eBay, starting at around $20 shipped. (search for LC meter)

L needs to be measured at the freq being used. Most L meters only give one test freq and it might not give you the same value at the in-use freq of operation. But if you use it for low freq xover and not above a few KHz, it will be close enough.
