Lepai 2020 as measurement amp?

Does anyone know the response of this popular little Lepai? I'm considering using it for speaker measurement because it's:

Small;
Light;
mini jack input; and
Volume control;

But it's so cheap and all, I'm not sure it's suitable. Has to be linear. I wouldn't be using it for measurements much past 2.83V. Anything above that I'll drag out something tougher.

You can't connect anything beside speakers to it's output, because they are in BTL mode (no ground, differential). So this rolls-out impedance measurements, leaving just a FR/THD plots.

You'd better check "big opamp"-style circuits, such as the chipamp concept.

Yup. I only want to be able to hook up speakers outside with this. That's why I want something small and portable. I just need to know if it's reliably flat? I don't have a clue about amplifiers

The chips it self have linear response from 30 Hz to 5000 Hz. 10 Hz is 0,5 dB down and 20.000 Hz also 0,5 dB down. I don't know if that is also the case with the Lepai, but they should be able to have similar characteristic's. You could also consider ready made pcb's. They are around 7-10$ incl. freight. I have seen Tripath TA2024, Yamaha YDA148 and others

Thanks for this info. I might give it a try then. Better would be nice. But this would sure be convenient.

I'd try a ready made PCB, but honestly have no clue what I'm doing with amps. I was unsure buying a power supply for my Lepai let alone assembling a kit
