Anyone ever use a talking multimeter? I'm sure this will get lots of jokes. :p But seriously...
About 20 years ago Radio Shack had one. When they discontinued it, it was on sale at a low price and I tried to get one, but none to be had.

Always thought it would be handy. If your metering a tight spot, might be nice not to have to look at the meter.

There are some out there for not much money. Just wondering if anyone has used one and if you like it.

Yeah, there's nothing like turning your head to look at the meter and causing the probe to slip on a live circuit. I know I've done it a few times.

Buy a probe DMM.

That's exactly what I thought when I read Anonymous1's reply. According to his book "Valve Amplifiers" Morgan Jones seem to like pen type multimeters for that exact reason.
