Did anyone take note of the electric car comparison on page 18?
Chevy Volt has been touted as "The way of the future" for GM. Maybe better said the future of big oil remaining in control! Ranges on electrics: The Tesla Roadster, an electric sports car: 360 Km. The Mitsubishi i-MiEV: 160 Km The Chevy Volt: 60Km BUT... they are touting 600Km in ads, while not fully mentioning (other than in the fine print), with the assistance of the onboard gas generator AND... 45 litre tank. That's still $50 at today's Chilliwack gas price. That's about the range and fillup cost of a Japanese all-gas car. Who the heck do they think they are fooling? Big oil always was and always will be in control on this side of the pond ![]() Thanks Elektor, for showing us the truth! |
