A "Positive Feedback" review swaps power supply capacitor with Mundorf Mylitic capacitor. Any experience with this?

Apparently I have the inferior core. I can hear a hum when the amp it switched on. I am not sure if this is the cause. I would like to know where I can get a replacement core and maybe a stepped attenuator.

The original 230V Japanese R-core is worth JPY 8,800 each.
I only offer TU-879S with original R-core. If you have a multi tap R-core, it means that your TU-879S have an after market R-core.
You are not the only one who has problem with this after market R-core.
Please email me your issue. I will help you to fix your problem. ‚qƒRƒAƒgƒ‰ƒ“ƒX_ƒtƒFƒjƒbƒNƒXR-CORE_TRANSFORMER. Your r-core should be made in Japan by Phoenix (not made in India).
