If building the "F4" and using the Universal PSU, Capacitor and Diode Combination Board, what would be the ideal VA rating for the transformer ? and also does anyone know of a good 15000uf 25v psu capacitor to use ?

250VA or greater size transformer will do nicely.

How about a 400VA with 2 x 18v secondaries ?

That's more than 250VA so I'm sure it will work.
