It would be cool if you made the chassis design availabe eg maybe a few more pictures or a drawing. I love the simplicity of it

Hi Nelson!
I believe that you forgot the bootstrap resistor in the schematics. ( if you want current gain in the current-source. )

Are you referring to Aleph current source circuit? This gets its modulation
by tapping the load between the power resistors.

Hi Nelson!
Yes I understand that. Ive build am amp with this nice Aleph variation (one less cap in the signal path than the standard Aleph). But the signal from Q3 goes nowhere, as it is shunted by C2. You need to insert a resistor between the junction C2/R7 and the collector of Q3.
Thanx for your inspiring work.

Thorsten, the design is not in error, the AC voltage across Q3 is
deliberately shunted. The modulation occurs through the way the load is
tapped between the power resistors.

Hi Nelson!
Thank you for the explanation. Now I see how it works. Its not an Aleph, but rather a mu-follower/SRPP type of schematic, as Q3 is only active DC-wise. Probably sounds better like that, with simpler signal path and less feedback in the current source. Might build one with R 100 FETs.

Nelson this is a great project but I would love to see you or someone take this one step further. The world could use a simple to build amp kit for beginners who want to get into building amps or electronics. Is there any chance of you or someone making a kit that includes the PCB, power supply, a heat sink and detailed instructions that explain what each part's purpose is and why it was picked? As far as I know, nobody is doing this on a truly beginner level and I know I would have bought one when I first got interested in building amplifiers.

Hi guys,

Where can I purchase the PCB? I don't see it in the DIYAudio store.
