I have an old Davis Powerbeam V projector (DLP). If you dont know what it is, see this link:

Well, some years ago (2-3 years ago) I tested it, and I could only get the projector to show grayscale. I tried to solve the problem, or at least tried to know what the problem is with no luck. So the projector ended up on the attic.
I recently moved to a new house and the projector popped up again. And I decided to give it try again, and too my surprise I could se partial color from it. I had never did that before. Its like gradient color to grayscale from the left.

So now I need your help too figure out the problem. Have anyone had similiar experiences?
I am currently using the RGB-input, and have tested composit and S-video too, but still the same problem. And im pretty sure its not a problem with that because its same in the menu too, and that should always be color.
And I've checked all the settings with no luck.
So I guess something is broken inside it, what could it be? Or is something not properly connected inside it? I have opened it up but I dont want to mess around in it too much.
