I have a similar LCD, though I have not removed the AG yet, but I am tempted to do so, since I tried pulling the AG layer, and I know it is very dirty. So I must gain on quality if I can get rid of it, with new polarizers.

In few days I will try doing this, and may be I can seek your help if you know how to change polarizers and can extend some help

Hi ajitanand,

Did you get the polarizer film? If yes, can you tell me from where and for how much?

Also to remove the polarizer film use a very sharp knife and start from corners. Thats how I managed to screw my LCD :P. You can see the pics posted in my earlier posts.

Hi,

Boy o Boy!!!

I had my first hand experience of a DIY Projector, courtesy our generous Mr.Gitesh(fibbrilator). A BIG Thank you to gitesh for inviting me to have a look at the projector . It is really different in person and the pictures posted here really dont do justice to the actual output. What i saw was enuf to convince me that its worth its money to DIY. The image was very decent and best thing was he played and showed me a underwater scenes movie which are generally dark, and what i cud see was it looked as good as watching on a TV except the Big size . Gitesh was still in the process of tweaking and finishing it fully and i am sure once he is completed all that it wud be more enhanced.

Before i forget i had to mention this specifically about the accoustics he is building for it... He is building his own surround sound system which was again in the process... i got the pleasure of hearing that and believe me it too was as good as any commercial one.. so Gitesh is going to have one complete Theatre setup

Best Regards
Nirmal

Thanks for the complements Nirmal.
As I told I may be upgrading my lcd to a 800 x 600 at a later date. Also i am not happy with the audible noise from the fan. Got to do something about it.

But for the moment I am happy with the setup.
