Straighten me out.. - Page 3

Well, I was up at a ridiculous time this morning, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I couldn't get it working. I'm wondering if there may be something else wrong with the LCD. The friend I got it from couldn't remember exactly what the problem was, and then she lost the power cord. I'm guessing I'll end up buying the Balance LCD from Walmart and running with that. It's smaller with better specs than the 17", anyway....

Unless anyone has any other ideas why it wouldn't be powering on?

For my fellow Michiganders, I live in Macomb Township. I was born in the D though, and lived along it's border for much of my life... so the Motor City will always be my true home.

About the LCD, if you couldn't get it working and had it wired correctly then there's probably something wrong. A lot of times the controller will go and it gives similar symptoms to a dead backlight. It is fixable, but quite a complex task to tackle. I'm attempting to revive a dead Proview 15" LCD and it's slow going so far with really no progress to date. I'm a cheapskate so I'm going to keep trying
