Would the stock fresnel lens set in a 3M OHP be enough for a 400 Watt light setup? What about the 250?

Ok, so it looks like if i use the 250W MH light set the base will be approx 10.5 inches from the light source. Does that sound about right? I put a reflector behind the MH bulb and then set my OHP fresnel lens and glass centered right above that. Should any of that be a problem? Will the light be too bright for the stock 3M fresnel lenses?
