Citrusxt,
Do yourself a favor and pull the lcd from the equation for the time being. Make a transparency of a fine black horizontal and vertical lines the size of your 15 inch lcd. Tape this to a piece of glass and use this as your lcd. Actually do the alingment with no lcd or trasparency in place first. If you dont see a sharp bulb image at about 32cm from the top fresnel there is no point going any further. Now check your alignments and distances with this. Remember the bulb arc needs to be centered to the center ring of the fresnels. You should see a reasonably sharp arc image of the bulb at around 30cm from the lcd.
