That´s what I try, the double ended 150W lamp and I also give up.

But this lamp has UV stop, implemented in the outer glass. Does the lamp you are using has UV stop?.

In three panels LCD models the UV filter is commonly implemented throught the light engine, so using you lamp or one like the HTI 150W/HTI 152W wouldn´t be a problem. I discarded the HTI because it doesn´t have the UV filter.

The CTX as it is intended for an halogen one doesn´t have any UV filters. I saw the condenser lens for the CTX 580 (MH lamp) and it appears to have the UV filter in it.

I have CTX 580 too,no UV filter .

hi!
I sent the pictures, step by step to convert these things.
new holder, new lamp, new ballast, if you have a CTX, all of things is easy.
what do you need ?
