can anyone answer some basic questions for me please:
Building a psone projector, and have the sony psone lcd/huge lens/120v 300w slide proj. lamp but no fan, what type of fan should be used here also, how might you recommend this all to be wired ?? does the lcd, lamp, and fan get wired together and then plug into a standard US a/c outlet, or is more complicated, please help before my pants catch on fire from the electrical hazard that I am about to create.. |

You can buy a pack of cooling fans in bulk. $8 for 12 fans...
brand is mnss cool and they are very powerful yet strong... You can run then with an old computer power supply ($3) and there isnt anything scary about wiring these....all of the connections snap into eachother. |

you will find most powersupplies around 5.5" by 5.5" by 3.5"....But I have a couple that produce less power (obviously you wouldnt need 300w to power 3 or 4 fans) but the demensions are 2" by 4" by 5" and produces 120w. You can pick one up on ebay for $15...
As for the connections... slot connections...nothing complicated. |

also...power supplies have their own switch so you could turn the PSU on in advance to precool the system....or leave it on afterwards to further cool down.
