Default Does a qa-2500 require an input?

Just a quick question for those QA-2500 owners out there, as I continue to troubleshoot my panel...

Will a Sharp QA-2500 show something on the screen when you power it on if there are no inputs connected? I'm not sure if my LED is functional, and I've verified that power is making it to all the boards, but it still won't power up.

So, does a splash screen show? If you don't have a 2500 but have a different Sharp panel, do those show anything when powered on without inputs connected?

Thanks.

A Sharp QA-75A has a blank screen and says "no input" in the bottom corner. The QA-1650 has a box with the word "Sharp" in the middle... check out the pic towards the bottom of the link

The QA-1750 also has a blank screen with "no imput" in the bottom corner. The QA-1800, I believe, has the "no input" also but it was a while ago that I saw one.

sorry, I dont know what is displayed on the QA-2500

I have a qa-1800 and when you power it up the screen is blank except for "no input" in I think the bottom right hand corner. Atleast on my panel you have to hook it up to the dvd player, hold down the select button, then press the up or down button on the front control panel to switch it to video mode, before I get anything other than "no input" on the panel.

Thanks guys. I figured out what was wrong with my QA-2500 (blown fuses because I had wired the power supply up according to the Sharp Manual Pin-out, which is wrong.)

Everything is working great now. For the record, a QA-2500 shows "No Input" in the bottom right hand corner if nothing is connected.
