Have you tried this light source - osram with reflector

Have any one tried this lamp from osram. It comes with a manufacturer reflector.

It has life span of 9000 hours. After some web search I found it been used as a light source for fiber optics machines.

Actually i have no idea if it is any good to diyers or not?

looks like it has an ellipsoidal refletor. I would definately try it if I can find one cheaper.
