Default Sharp qa-2500 No Picture

My qa-2500 powers up, and the menu shows on the screen. However, when I attach the video source, the screen changes to a darker color but no picture shows. I tried the S-Video, the RCA, and VGA video inputs. All do the same.

Any ideas what might be happening?

Thank you.

try pushing SELECT and the UP arrow or SELECT and DOWN at the same time. This'll change to the RCA and S-Video inputs. I'm pretty sure the panel default to the VGA input when turned on so either you're not running at a supported resolution/refresh rate (try 1024x768@60hz, 800x600@60hz, or 640x480@60hz) or you have a broken wire in your cable.

The panel has right and left arrows too, right? You can try pushing them. I'm going off the 1800 panel but its most likely somewhat similar to the 2500's controls
