Default ohp vs diy

I am looking to build my first projector. Is it better overall for picture, brightness, color, quality to build with an OHP, or to build a diy system.

hey bud. glad to see that you are going to dive into diy projecton, but your best bet is to start off with an ohp and a panel to get your feet wet. there is a good chance that if you go strait out and try to build it all on your own your results won't be as good as an ohp/panel. Search ebay and flea markets for different components, search this site for information and read what others have done before. thats just my advice! good luck!
