Can you mount a delta series projection lens about 1-2 feet away from a LCD panel. I know they are designed for a 5 or 7 inch crt panel up close, but is it possible to use one of these that far from the lcd to project the image......i want to get as much usable light and these have huge aperatures and are quite cheap and of high quality.

eebasist,
there are some optical laws: size of panel and focal lenght of an objective are related on themselves. Objective's FL should have minimum the diagonal size of the panel or you won't see the whole image! xblocker |

Thank you, that means some of those delta series lenses arent big enough since they are ~60mm. So i need a lens with a focal length of at least 250mm (254) for a 10in diagonal lcd?

correct,
a lot of people with 10" panels use an OHP lens triplet (f~320mm), which is a corrected objective for spherical abberations. xblocker |
