wakeav8b,

the condenser is some more surplus finds. it is for an art projector
about 4" diameter little under 300mm focal. initial tests showed
it would cover the needed size with room to spare. double stacked
my work for a 15" lcd but too tight a fit with the sgi, given the ushio
bulb and outer jacket is so large.

plugged in the light box last night for the first time. no sparks
appears to work well. lots of heat from lamp and that huge
magnetic ballast.

what lcd are you using for your 17" projector?

Your project looks very neat and tidy,
if the picture looks as good as your
wooden box, you're gonna be a very happy

one last shot of lord of the rings. color is off on my setup. i don't
have much color control over setting on this dvi monitor. nice to have
such a high pixel count, it helps a great deal with the screen door. you
have to be right on the screen to notice it. thats it for now. when i
get a chance to work out the bugs, i will post more.
