the rainbow is a millisecond, and you are seeing it - quite impressive

Very interested. Can you post any screenshots? Still wondering just what this rainbow effect is and how bad it is? I read on another post that the newer pjs have reduced this effect. Is that right? |

its really not bad at all..
it has a 3x color wheel 1500 lumens 2000:1 contrast (you can really see the difference with 2000:1 contrast )and even tho the rainbow are there, they are VERY MINIMAL... An example, only time i see rainbows is when i watch FINAL FANTASY at the begining when the girl is running through those "firefly looking things".. you see rainbow color lights around the white light but its for a split second. not enough to take your attention away from the movie and when the credits come up. Aside from that its not a factor in deciding to purchase this PJ. I imagine the rainbows being a little worse on the X1 because it has a 2X color wheel. i can post some screen shots for you but a little later on tonight. there is a person at avsforum.com that has amazing screenshots from this pj. here is the link: http://sn0wcr4sh.org/gallery/6100 check it out |
