Lightbulb LCD Panel that meets all DIYers needs!

When building DIY projector you use LCD that costs usually most of the total price of the complete system, and especially when you build a budget DIY projector. I haven't built one myself, but about to...

I want to know which LCD do you use in your projector, and how much did you pay for it. Its condition when you bought it (new, second hand).

What I want to find out is the most suitable LCD for DIYers needs. Of course someone builds his projector for TV, DVD... someone uses it for PC gaming... someone (like me) wants to gain both of the features to use it both to watch TV and to connect the PC to it.

And a question that may be related to some of you: If you use let's say an LCD that supports VGA only input (so you can't connect the DVD or the TV) - how do you solve it (if you do)?
Or the option that you have only S-Video & Composite - is there a way to connect the PC (tv-out probably) - do someone use it in that way?

I'm going to buy a BenQ fp557s because I heard many good things about it, regarding to DIY stuff. (no flex cable probs etc...)

At the moment I'm also looking for something to get a composite, SVHS or RGB signal to vga -> this is done with a vga box.

There are many different vga boxes, just make sure you get one that supports high resolution!

Yeah, I actually think if to use an LCD with only s-video/composite inputs, connecting the PC to in will be easily done by the TV-Out which is supported by every modern video card... but is there a way to configure that the TV-Out will be used as a default output, so when I turn the PC on, the video card will transmit video signal through the TV-Out?
