Default Look here!! 175-400 HID replacement CFL!!

I am still looking for an alternative for MH and CFL looked to be the best canidate. While searching I found this:

http://www.sportlite.com/lx-series.htm

They claim:

"For style, functionality and energy efficiency, the LX800 Series by Sportlite provides excellent lighting for almost any application that would use a 175 -400 watt HID"

and

"Sportlite offers a stylish alternative to standard HID fixtures with the new LX800 Designer Series. Featuring an eye-pleasing aluminum ballast housing and reflector, the LX800 provides very even vertical and horizontal footcandles which virtually eliminates hot spots. Multiple point sources of light within each luminaire reduces the glare often associated with standard HID high-bay fixtures"

This is not the 150w ICExxxx CFL lamp witch pas shown earlier on this forum, no this is a........just look!!!!!!!!

This can rebuild easy!!!!!!!!!

Ps. Look at the PDF's for more info!

Only one problem is: it is not anywhere near to a point light source. and a good point light source is the key to the success of making a projector with a large LCD screen.

without a point light source, light is not easily to contral. most light emitted from lcd will not go through the projection lens and form an image.

Yes I noticed that to. 20" Yep a little large, but what I wanted to show with this product is that you can bundle fluorecence light ok, not as wel as MH. But maybe when you take less lamps, a reflector and a fresnel your can get a usefull beam. And remember this: these lamps give off only a little heat, so you can place you TFT directly behind the lamp. This should improve the beamer size and the lumen needed.
Maybe the projection becomes a little more blurry, but it is woth the try?
