Default Here ya go 7" TFT 1024X768 $169 + Ship

Shippings steep ($20) but good price. I emailed them to verify the resolution stated. They emailed me back stating it was 1024X768
even if you devide the first number by 3 it would be 341X768 (odd) but I don't think you have to on this model. Anyway you can make up your own mind on it. Thought i would pass it along.

That's a pretty good price, but no vga. But be careful and make sure it doesn't have a panasonic lcd, unless you're good at extending cables. If you get it though, let us know if it strips easy or not.

It is wvga 800X480 and goes up to 1024X768 with compresion if it had a VGA controler!
What they did is that they added one more digit at the resolution.
800X480 pixels in vertical stripe configuration are 2400X480 dots
which is 1.152.000 dots and not 11.520.000 dots they say!
If it had that resolution it would be 2400X1600 pixels,(7200X1600
dots=11.520.000) and beleive me i would walk until there if i had
to just pay $169.99 for it!

Sounds good enough to project DVD's on a 16:9 - 70" screen?
I'm not a gamer, nor would I use it for my computer, so the resolution I think should cover DVD. Please let me know if I'm wrong. I am a noob here so be sure to inform me if I incorrectly state something.

And yes I am good at extending cables if necessary, not by choice of course, no one wants to do it!

I'll let you know what I run intowhen it arrives.

Still a pretty good deal don't you think if the mod is easy?

Yeah, if the mod's easy, it's a great deal imo. Like I said, keep us updated on the project, as I'll get one myself if it's easy...or at least not too difficult.

WMT how did you come up with those resolution sizes or specs on that monitor. was it just math or did you locate them somewhere?

Thanks!
