Is it possible to transform a used laptop screen in to a small TV monitor? I have some lying around and figured that would be a good use for an LCD panel as I already have a projector. Thanks for any insight.

The problem with using a laptop lcd is that they dont use a standard video controller, so its very difficult to impossible to drive the card from anything other than the original laptop board.

Interesting. I think that if someone made one that worked well at an affordable cost it would sell pretty well in the DIY department. Lord knows I have lots of laptops sitting around and I can always use another 15" TV somewhere in the house
