How can I decide the gap distance between LCD and Fresnel lens ?

As I attach that diagram,

that gap distance, how can I calculate this distance?

any reference?

Ideally you'd want this to be between 20mm and 30mm but you can have a much larger gap if your fresnels are considerably bigger than your LCD.

If you have it closer than 20mm you might see rings in the projected image from the fresnel lens.

In the end it's up to you to experiment with this as it does not make much of a difference in terms of projected image size
