Default Sorry been holdin back bout the CMV1515 for OHP

I know a lot of people have been complaining about the CMV1515 and how it cant be used for OHP. Thats not true at all and I knew this for months.

All you have to do is keep the metal frame attached. Remove the corner cable, flip the horizontal PCB the opposite way, then reattatch the cable. If you feel uneasy about cables breaking, just tape em up w/ electrical tape. This will provide more support.

Oh, I used screws on the horizontal board to keep it from blocking the LCD. Ignore the text in the pic...its was notes I made to someone a long time ago.

hi jj0ns0n,

can you please post a few more pics of your frame and setup? I'm sure a lot of people here, like me, are interested. i think i tried this out but the cables were being stretched more than i would have liked.

...but, now that i think of it, i suspect that you may have put the LCD opposite way on the frame to me.

thanks..

water1: Sorry, I bought mine months ago so I don't know where's the best place to get cmv's....but i think i saw vm is selling some.

LOOie: nice pics on the other thread. =-) Sorry, I don't have anymore pix of the setup i had and I can't take more cause someone's building an enclosure for me w/ that CMV. =-( ...but basically u need to leave the metal frame attatched to the lcd then have the horizontal pcb come up OVER the metal frame at a angle so the corner ffc is able to be attatched. The front of the LCD will be pointing upwards. Horiz. pcb will be angled towards the front of the LCD so it can be used for OHPs.

...the ffc in the pic is black because its covered w/ electrical tape

thanks jj0ns0n..

Ahh.. so your frame and LCD is still facing the same way (relative to each other) as they were when they were in the original case like mine? or is the metal frame flipped over relative to the LCD?

Did you have problems with the PCB covering the LCD? I remember that even at 45deg, there was quite a bit of overhang.
