Guys, small update.

Well the last few days ive been hard at it, the lcd unit draft plan is finalised and done, ive made a new light box, tried a new idea regarding the light box internals to make things easier for you guys to fabricate, and started to make the new lcd unit.

The parts are still on their way and ive made a few phone calls this week regarding why they are so late, starting to get not only on your nerves but mine too.

Ill start off with the new light box, ok its the same as before but we now have a size change to take up some slack in the system and this has given us another louver for cooling.

The pic below is of the original design, in this now updated design ive incorporated a reflector holder into the design so its less building we have to worry about, and is also very sturdy. If it looks bent to you this is from the cams lens, this unit is spot on square and strait, also the holes are very true. This pic was taken after a quick clean up and will be cleaned up more before being painted.

Ok here is the new design, i tried to do away with the holes so its less work, this idea does work but the outer box shell runs hotter so this idea i will forget about and not use in the plans. This idea also blocks less light so the honey combe idea that i designed realy does work a treat. If you look carfully you will also see a line in the center running up the side, this is for getting out optics perfect and lining this inner part of the light box to the other so all centers are matched up. All of the lcd unit will have the same center line right to the projection lens to make sure all is lined up center. Ill also add in both of the pics the outer louvers are not in place.

Here is a shot of the finnished internal unit for the light box, imo a crappy shot lol, this is also of the tried out new design. Ill finnish the original and updated designed internal after the lcd unit is done as i can still use this for the time being.

Here is a shot of how the internal sits in the outer light box shrowd, also see the center lines are lined up, if they dont look too centerd in the pic its because of the angle i took the pic. The reflector in there is also an experimental reflector so dont mind the cut out ends.

Well there isnt anymore shots of the outer part of the light box buts its the same as the old one posted before, it just had the size change. I thought id post up a pic of the draft plan so you can have an idea on the plans i draw. This plan is technical (not all lines are picked up by the cam) and will be broken down to 5 plans for you guys to read them easily. The white is the sizes bloched out and this is only of the lcd unit. In this new design all is spot on centerd and perfected in all ways, there is even enough room for a keystone at a later date. Thats all guys ill keep you posted.

I saw your new light box, but I donīt understand what function it has, what I can see it will leak much light on the sides, so that canīt be the purpose with the box or ? I have drawn I little picture on a not light leaking box.
