You can convert Inches and Millimeters several ways.... None are /perfectly/ accurate though, but they will get you close enough...

INCH * .039 = MM

MM / .039 = INCH

INCH / 25.4 = MM

MM / 25.4 = INCH

Whichever you remember easier is good enough.

Thanks amra, i was aware of those but they arent to acurate, acuracy is the key and can either make or brake a projector.

Well, if you need super accuracy, then just change to the following....

INCH * .03937 = MM
MM / .03937 = INCH
MM / 25.40005 = INCH
INCH * 25.40005 = MM

Note: 25.40005mm * .03937mm = .9999999685 Inches

As you can tell, those figures are off by less then a millionth so they should be more then accurate for your purposes, I realize accuracy is important, but there is no need for even hundred-thousandths accuracy, even in the project we are doing here.

And if you need super dooper uber perfect freaking accuracy.... (god only knows why... ) then use the following...

INCH * .039370078700000000000000000000007= MM
MM / .039370078700000000000000000000007= INCH
INCH * 25.400000025908000026426160026955 = MM
MM / 25.400000025908000026426160026955 = INCH

Note: 25.400000025908000026426160026955 * .039370078700000000000000000000007 = 1 (thats right, a perfect 1)

I hope you dont need the latter, I was mainly putting them up to be a little sarcastic, and funny, please dont take it the wrong way, I just dont think there is a need for that much accuracy. But you asked, so there you are

Default light-specs

hi trev

thanks for your mail - and once again thanks for your great work!

I just got a question regarding the light setup you use:

this should be the ge (general electric) bulb if i'm right - is it this one?:
CMH-150W 942 G12 (product code: 38694)

so if this is the right bulb than all of you guys who are looking for a suitable ballast or ignitor just jump to page 12 and 13 on the pdf-file linked above. there you'll find third party manufacturers recommended by GE!

i know that it's hard to find someone selling GE-bulbs in Austria or Germany (Philips is the number one seller here) so if anyone knows a shop were i can get them - please feel free to post or mail me! otherwise i've to order them from GB.
Anyway if i find someone selling these parts at a decent price i'll let you know...

so keep up the great work guys - and Trev - please hurry up with the plans cause i allready got the the copy lens and will recieve the lilliput this week (if the online-tracking info isn't fooling me)

have a nice day

If ace can confirm the details, thats the light and ballast sorted.

I'll see what prices are available around here for the kit and report back.

who did you get your lilliput off? - is it that ebay seller??
