Default Need Help with 3M 6450

Hi,
I just bought a 3M 910 overhead projector and a 3M 6450 projection panel for my DIY projector. The panel has a HD15 connector marked monitor and a HD26 connector marked computer, I tried connecting the vga output from my pc to the monitor connector on the panel but no luck. I am wondring if some one can help me with the pinout for these connectors on the panel. Thanks.

If I remember correctly, you need a cable to go from the VGA output on the PC to the 26 pin input on the projection screen. The VGA output is to connect an external monitor from the panel.

I'm pretty sure I've seen some of these cables on eBay. If I happen across them, I'll post a link.

Cheers,

Greg

Default vga connector

I don't know anything about your panel, but my guess is the vga connector on your panel is a monitor redriver. In other words it is vga out, you would use it to display whatever the signal is that you put in with the 26 pin connector.

Someone with your panel may be able to give you the pinouts for the 26 pin? Or search the forum someone else may already have provided a source for the cable or the pin outs to make your own.

Hope this helps.

We are in the same situation. I have a projection panel which requires an HD26 video input. Could you find out the pinout for building this video cable??????

Thanks.

i had the same problem with my sharp panel i eventually gave up and bought a converter off ebay for 50 bucks that convert the vga to rca cable that i can hook to my panel of course if you dont have rca in plug on panel this wont work, but it works great not sure if quality of computer hooked direct would work better or not but sure beats trying to find the pin outs for the cable and 26 pin connectors were hard to find ,
