I have an older Toshiba TDP-MT8 projector that is a re-branded InFocus SP7200. Toshiba discontinued support for this long ago. With the newer BluRay players, my MT8 will not display content because the firmware does not have support for the newer secure content codecs. It is slowly becoming useless to me as more and more content is going to be going BluRay.
InFocus continued to support the SP7200 and posted v4 firmware 6/2010. As these two devices are part-for-part compatible, I'm considering trying to flash this firmware to see if it will get me the latest codecs. Does anyone have experience with this?
