Default Luxeon V1 Ballast/or Optocoupler Bypass?

damn I've had this projector for a long time and it's just been collecting dust; there is a post on here dated 2006 asking about it, hah!

Anyway I just got around to tinkering with it again and I figured I could just take the whole ballast out to see if it would bypass the (lack of) lamp well I don't think that is working it stays on for a bit but then the power light flashes, I tried to shine the brightest light source I have through it to see if I could make out the logo but i don't think its there..

So I suppose I need to find the optocouplers but not sure where to look, are they on the ballast itself or on the mainboard or other power board? I did find what looks like two of them together next to a three-wire connector on the ballast.. maybe someone can offer assistance? Here are some pics... Thanks!
