DIY Projector in India - Under Rs.10k
This is made in India.Few of the parts have been got from USA.
LCD Panel : Sharp VGA Panel ( from USA) - Cost Rs. 7k Metalhalide : Osram 400w with Pesolite ballast - Cost Rs.2k Fresnel and Focussing lamp ( from USA) Screen : made from Flexy - Cost Rs.200 Exhaust fans : 5` - 2 in number - Rs 400 Screen size : 3 ft by 4ft. Diagonal - 5 ft. Looking for upgradation : Will replace the LCD panel with 15 in LCD monitor costing around Rs. 3-4 k.That would increase the resolution ,contrast and bring down the cost. |

You could try using a manual voltage stabaliser to raise the voltage to the desired rating which is around 250v.Donot overdo who knows if it blasts off.But his does work. Secondly MHs lamps has the tendency to impart this tint for around 200 hrs.Afterwards it would be just fine. Enjoy onnnnnnnnnnnn.

hello i have got overhead projector from US having power as 100 - 120 V / 7A. I want to use it for DIY LCD projector. PLease suggest what type of stepdown converter would be best to work it out in indian voltage. Please provide the name and location where it would be available. I have tried with 110 V -1000 W converter and it won't work.

Upgraded it - OHP with LCD monitor
DIY Projector :
3M OHP projector - Bought on OLx.In for Rs.4000 Samsung LCD monitor - Bought on OLx.In for Rs.2000 Fan - Rs.250 Miscellaneous - Rs.500 TOTAL = Rs.6750 Image resolution = 1024 X 768 Output - Screen diagonal 5ft 6in |
