I too have the Epson EMP 50 and I have soldered a wire to the SCI connector, third pin over (reads 2.84 on the meter) but not too sure where to connect the other end to, I know it needs to be connected to GND on the main board but I'm not sure of a proper way to find a ground on the main board. Should I check for connectivity between the ground on the plug socket and a spot on the board? sorry if I sound like a moron, but I guess I'm lacking a bit in the electronics field....

So for the S1 I have a service manual so that helps a bit figuring it out.
How do i check the voltage of the ballast wires? Should I cut the wire? so I can test it? I still ahve a lot of hours supposably (I'm buying this used its 4 years old) but only 400 hours. Is it worth it for 100 dollars? |
