Hi all!

I finally succeeded in bypassing the lamp ballast circuit of the Infocus LP120 DLP projector.

All you need to do is to input a voltage around 3V on the port 16 (AD2) of the P87LPC769 IC.

A little bit more tricky than the case where you need to ground the reversed opto-coupler pins, but now we have a solution for this projector ;-)

hello, I would like to bypass lamp lit circuit for lp500 or lp530.
any information could be help ful
pinout of the connection cable and lamp lit pin number.

I have a Infocus X3, it is exactly same like X1 or X2. Thanks to Crazifunguy, I have moded the ballast successfully and very easily, no need to add or subtract any electronic thing. Using 55W xenon car lamp, I am able to watch a good quility picture in dark room. But the light is not enough for lit room, it should be totaly dark.
Sending some better quality pictures of ballast mod, for people who could not understand in previous posts (page 2).
